This tutorial will show you how to Work with Folders in the eBox Web Interface.
Create a Folder
In this example, we will create a folder named My Files.
Click the + (plus) dropdown menu
Select Create Folder
You can also right-click into the white space and select Create Folder
Enter a name for the folder and press enter
You will now see your newly created folder
Folders are arranged in alphabetical order
To go into a folder, place your mouse over the folder icon, once it turns purple click into it.
To exit a folder, click the Up a level icon
You can also click the Toggle Tree View icon to show the left panel to display all your folders.
From here, you can click into any of your folders.
Upload a Folder
In this example, we will upload a folder named My Files.
To upload folders to eBox, simply drag and drop folders from your computer into the File Browser.
Delete a Folder
In this example, we will delete a folder named My Files.
Right-click on the folder that you want to delete.
Select Edit, then select Delete
At this prompt, click yes
Rename a Folder
In this example, we will rename a folder named My Files to My Files 2.
Right-click the folder you want to rename
Select Edit, then select Rename
You can also click into the white space inside the square
Then click on the folder name
Type in a new name for the file and press enter
Your folder has been renamed.
In this example, we will copy and paste the My Files folder.
Right-click the folder you want to copy
Right-click into the white space and select Paste
A copy of the folder and its contents will be created.
Download Folders to Your Computer
In this example, we will download the My Files folder to your computer.
Right-click the folder you want to download
Select Download, then select Download again
A ZIP file will be created and downloaded to your computer
Using Shortcuts in the Main Menu
In this example, we will show you shortcuts in the main menu.
Click into the white space inside the square box of the folder.
Shortcut icons will appear in the main menu for Delete, Download, Copy, and Cut.
