This tutorial will show you how to create a Mail Alias / Forwarding Email Address.
A Mail Alias is a one-to-one auto-forward of one email address to another. If you want auto-forward to more than one user, this can be done with the Create a Group Alias / Forwarding Email Address tutorial.
In this example, we want emails sent to firstname.lastname@example.org to be forwarded to email@example.com.
Click on the Mail Aliases icon
Click on the Create Mail Alias button
1. E-mail Address: type the first part of the email address you want to create (the part that comes before the @ symbol).
2. Select your domain name from the drop down menu.
3. Forwards to e-mail: Enter the user's address that you want to auto-forward to. You can only enter one email address, the email address must be within your domain name. We do not allow auto-forwards to an email address outside our system (e.g. gmail.com, yahoo.com, etc.), this would be a HIPAA violation.
You will see your new Mail Alias email address as a blue link on the Mail Aliases page.
To change the forwarding address, simply click on the blue address link to access its settings.
